" We really had a great time. Good family therapy! I just wish we could have stayed longer. "
Mark Leversedge, London
Arguably Suffolk’s most sophisticated seaside town, and less than 100 miles from London, Aldeburgh has excellent restaurants, as well as fish and chip shops so famous the queues extend along the High Street most evenings.
Boutiques cater for all ages, and bookshops and art galleries abound. Annual events, such as the Aldeburgh Festival, and the Regatta, attract an eclectic clientele (perhaps you’re one of them?) |
When you've pounded the beaches, bought your fish fresh from the sea, and mused over Maggi Hambling’s shell sculpture, you can righteously retire to the pubs or slump in the back row of the independently-owned cinema. It is a rare person who is bored in Aldeburgh.
Who was Charlotte?
We don't know. But we challenge you to come up with a convincing explanation. A bottle of Muscat Beaume de Venise, from the owner's brother's vineyard in the south of France, for the best suggestion e-mailed to us.

We also have a self-catering apartment in Montenegro, which is available all year round.
